Hill is a public living space located on a sloping site overlooking the marina in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, bringing together a temporary dog shelter with a program of movement-based studios.
The project addresses the sheltering and rehabilitation processes of dogs through a spatial framework that intersects with human practices such as yoga, pilates, dance, and outdoor movement. Designed to integrate into the daily routes of marina users, the complex aims to create an encounter space that raises awareness without requiring direct interaction with animals.
The floor plans can be viewed below:
Through circulation axes that follow the hillside topography, along with open, semi-open, closed, and transitional spaces, the project offers an enjoyable environment for both humans and animals. Supported by active user groups originating from the existing sports facilities within the marina and the surrounding residential areas, it is projected that both programs will be able to engage on this scenic hillside with sea and nature views.
