Kindred

 coexist, reconnect

KINDRED is a monolithic sanctuary where protective concrete and acoustic cork bridge the gap between cinematic fiction and the raw reality of shelter life. Through shared courtyards and multi-level perspectives, the architecture breaks the boundaries between observer and resident, transforming a sensory experience into a conscious journey of shared existence.

Courtyards carved out of tough topography and interactions between different groups appear
Kindred takes the defensive language of bunker and repurposes it for compassion.

Users entering from the top level gain a panoramic view of the common courtyards. The perspective allows understanding of the structure , the life and the scale.

Users entering from the bottom can observe the behaviour of the structures.
