Butterflies on The Bridge

         A neglected corner of the Taksim-Maçka ecological pedestrian bridge, which accompanies me every day on my way to school, stands waiting its turn, as if to become a magnificent resting place for my friends who travel long distances across continents to reach the city.

The butterfly' s wings, resembling the transformation of an origami as it reshaped itself through its life cycle..

Its seemingly fragile wings, yet having traveled thousands of kilometers, 

while paused in this place as if drawn to it by space that stand crooked frame…

Trees with Betula Pendula, Liquidambar styraciflua, Tilia, and Cupressus sempervirens;

Shrubs with Buddleja davidii, Cercis siliquastrum, Cornus alba ‘sibirica’, Cotoneaster dammeri, Euonymus alatus, Philadelphus, Spartium junceum, Spiraea vanhouttei;

Herbaceous plants with Carex, Cortaderia selloana, Gaura lindheimeri, Imperata Cylindrica Rubra, Iris, Kniphofia uvaria, Lavandula angustifolia, Pennisetum villesum, Salvia rosmarinus;

accompanies them at this stop on their journey!
